It is Speech-Language Therapy awareness week!

Speech-Language Therapy awareness week

This week 18-25 September is Speech-Language Therapy awareness week and we are highlighting one of our core values: Aroha.

Aroha means more than ‘love’; it is who we are and what we do. The New Zealand Speech Therapy Association (NZSTA) describes aroha in our context as the drive to empower others and provide an excellent and equitable service to all.

At Laura Fergusson Brain Injury Trust, we have an amazing team of four Speech-Language Therapists’ (SLT’s) who strive to deliver high quality speech-language therapy services for our clients. Our SLT’s incorporate the Trust’s values (we care, we are respectful, we are inclusive and we do it right) as we provide support and aroha for clients and whānau on their recovery journey.
