COVID-19 Guidelines

Community Services

All our community rehabilitation and assessment services are open and we are able to see you face-to-face. However, if you are feeling unwell or if you prefer a virtual appointment to support your recovery, we can see you via our "telehealth" remote support service.

All of our staff are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Telehealth

Should you be unable to attend our clinics or receive a visit from our therapists in your own home, we may suggest a Telehealth consultation. Please see below for how this works.

Residential Services

As per the current guidelines from the Ministry of Health, we are now able to accept visitors, with certain conditions, to our sites:

All visitors will be required to:

  • sign in manually
  • to wear a mask at all times while on-site at any Laura Fergusson premises.

You must report to reception (279 Ilam Rd) or to a staff member (Te Orewai Place) on arrival to sign in and be screened. You will not be permitted to visit our facilities if you do not comply with the above or have been unwell, or if you have recently been in contact with someone who has been unwell. We also ask that you sanitise or wash your hands thoroughly upon entry.

When visiting your family member, please stay in their room/unit or outside in the garden. If visiting in their room, please keep the doors closed during the visit. Please do not spend time speaking with other visitors in corridors, or communal spaces so that you and we can comply with being two metres apart at all times.

Personal protective equipment (e.g. masks) for our staff will be used correctly and safely in accordance with Ministry of Health guidance for health and disability care settings. The guidelines at present require our staff and all visitors to wear masks while in our homes and facilities.

All of our staff are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
