International Nurses Day

Today is International Nurses Day!

Today is International Nurses Day! We celebrate our fantastic group of Community and Residential Service Registered and Enrolled Nurses.

A big thank you goes out to our highly experienced, dedicated, travelling Community Nursing Team - Val. Catherine, Deb and Flo, for all their wonderful work.

And another big thank you to our Residential Service nursing team, Annabelle, Julie, Amanda, Donna, Laurellea, Eve, Violet, John, and Sheila. Your skill, knowledge and compassion ensure our residents are supported every day to achieve their goals, hopes and dreams and live their lives with meaning.

Thank you also to Rachael, Clinical Manager and Sarah, Nurse Educator and IPC coordinator for supporting our Nursing team to be their best.

Our Community Nursing Services are available in Christchurch and also the Hurunui, Waimakariri, Selwyn, Ashburton, and wider Canterbury district.

We provide a community-based nursing service where the needs are injury-related (covered by ACC funding), the treatment is specialised and there may be additional challenges for people to get to their own General Practice Team.

These services cover a range of needs such as pressure injury, wound care, incontinence, and stoma management.

Community-based nursing treatment is available in the comfort of a person’s home or appropriate community location such as a school or workplace.

If you have any questions about this service, please call Laura Fergusson Brain injury Trust: 03 335 0541 or email hello@lfbit.co.nz
