Elmer's Ōtautahi Elephant Trail!

Elmer's Ōtautahi Elephant Trail

Extremely exciting news!

We are thrilled to announce that Elmer's Ōtautahi Elephant Trail will be coming to Ōtautahi Christchurch in 2023/2024, following the resounding success of Christchurch’s Pop Up Penguins in 2020/2021 and Christchurch Stands Tall’s Giraffes in 2014.

On Wednesday evening, we launched this exciting project, and as you can see, Elmer is already bringing smiles to the city!

“We are incredibly excited to bring David McKee’s much-loved elephant character, Elmer the Patchwork Elephant to life in what will be the city’s most colourful art trail yet," says Kathryn Jones, CEO of Laura Fergusson Brain Injury Trust. "Over 30 large elephants, individually designed by professional and emerging artists, will be displayed through the streets, parks and public spaces of Christchurch and the surrounding towns from November 2023 to March 2024.”

We are thrilled to work in collaboration with Wild in Art and Andersen Press on this amazing project. Be sure to follow the Facebook page at Elmer's Ōtautahi Elephant Trail and check out elmerchch.co.nz for more info!
